In 1919 Birmingham, Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), leader of the Peaky Blinders gang, accidentally acquires a shipment of military-grade weapons stolen from a local factory. This draws the attention of Inspector Chester Campbell (Sam Neill), who is sent by Winston Churchill to recover the guns and clean up the city. Meanwhile, Tommy plans to expand the gang’s business by fixing horse races, while a mysterious new barmaid, Grace Burgess (Annabelle Wallis), begins working undercover at the gang’s local pub.
