The Witch's House (Majo no Ie) is a renowned horror RPG maker game that follows a young girl named Viola who wakes up in a forest and finds her only path blocked by massive rosebushes. With no other choice, she enters a mysterious, sprawling manor known as the Witch's House.

Inside, the house is alive and deeply malevolent. Viola must navigate a series of increasingly gruesome traps and solve intricate puzzles while being stalked by the house's owner, the sickly witch Ellen. Throughout the journey, Viola finds diary entries that reveal Ellen’s tragic backstory: she was a neglected, dying child who made a pact with a demon to gain magic and a house that would sustain her life. Before the game even began, Ellen used her magic to swap bodies with Viola.
