Elias clicked. He ignored the three pop-up windows warning him about "hot singles in his area" and "system critical errors." Finally, a file named Midnight_Hollow_Special_Edition.Sims3Pack landed in his downloads folder.
Then, the camera started to drift. Without Elias touching the mouse, the view would snap away from Victor and focus on the windows of the mansion. Outside, in the fog, a Sim was standing there. It was a generic NPC, but its skin wasn't the usual pale gray of the town—it was a static-filled, flickering mess of pixels.
On the screen, Victor stopped brewing a potion. He walked to the center of the room, turned his back to the furniture, and looked directly at the camera. He didn't wave or complain about a path being blocked. He just stared.
