The story follows (Williams-Paisley), a successful restaurant owner in Salt Lake City, who returns to her hometown of Hazelwood with her teenage son, Simon. Meanwhile, her sister Meg (Ashley Williams) heads to the city to help run Jennifer’s restaurant during a major competition. While back home, Jennifer is motivated to save "The Madison," a beloved but dilapidated movie theater once owned by their late Uncle Dave (played by Kevin Nealon ), from being sold to a corporate chain.
