The film follows three middle-school friends—Jake, Bo, and Carson—who make a dare to spend Halloween night locked inside a pop-up store. They soon discover the store is haunted by the vengeful spirit of Alec Windsor (played by Christopher Lloyd), a wealthy land developer whose ghost possesses the store's animatronic creatures.
