Needing to understand unrequited love to rewrite her lyrics, Eun-soo asks Sun-woo to live with her for two weeks and help her with the song before his upcoming departure for an overseas project.

Unknown to Eun-soo, Sun-woo has been deeply in love with her for years but has kept it hidden to protect their friendship. A flashback reveals he nearly confessed four years prior but backed out when Eun-soo stated she never wanted to date him because she couldn't risk losing him if they broke up.

Eun-soo is rejected by a famous composer because her lyrics on unrequited love lack "heart". She has never experienced the pain of one-sided longing herself, making her words feel hollow.
