I've learned to appreciate the beauty of imperfection – the messy, imperfect moments that make life worth living. I've started to see that it's okay to have bad days, to make mistakes, and to not have it all together.
Growing up, I was always the "good girl" who got straight A's, participated in extracurricular activities, and helped out around the house. My parents were high achievers, and I felt like I had to live up to their expectations. I was terrified of failure, and I thought that if I wasn't perfect, I wasn't good enough. sofia matthews
As I got older, this pressure to be perfect only intensified. Social media showed me a curated version of everyone else's lives, and I felt like I was the only one struggling. I'd scroll through my feeds, comparing my behind-the-scenes moments to everyone else's highlight reels. It was exhausting, and I began to feel like I was losing myself in the process.
