In this episode, the station faces rising tensions between the Narn and Centauri. G'Kar begs for help from the Earth Alliance after the Centauri continue their aggressive expansion, but Sheridan and Ivanova are forced to remain neutral due to political orders. Meanwhile, Ivanova must navigate a difficult diplomatic ritual with a new alien race, the Lumati, and Franklin deals with the consequences of his growing addiction to stims. Re-watching . It’s heartbreaking to watch G’Kar’s desperation as he pleads for help that won’t come. Londo is clearly showing regret for the path he’s on, yet he feels powerless to stop it. The writing remains hauntingly relevant.
