TempBot assigns Bee and PuppyCat to , where their task is to babysit Wallace , a giant, crying baby head. Despite Bee's attempts to comfort him, Wallace won't stop crying until PuppyCat reluctantly sings him a "fairytale".
Bee takes the grumpy creature home and tries to care for him despite being completely broke. That night, she has a cryptic, prophetic nightmare about her arm exploding. The next day, after failing to find work at a local temp agency, she returns home to find PuppyCat has received an intergalactic summons. Realizing she needs money for food and rent, she agrees to accompany him to to take on a "temp job" from a giant television-headed robot called TempBot .
