Prominence -

In geography, prominence is a technical term used to classify mountains. It doesn’t just measure a peak's height above sea level, but its height relative to the lowest contour line surrounding it before another higher peak is reached. This is a fitting metaphor for human achievement. A person’s prominence is rarely just about their absolute "height" or talent; it is about their distinctiveness from the landscape around them.
