In a game known for its deep simulation and tactical "jank," the hoodlum archetype thrives. Without the luxury of advanced armor or high-damage plasma weapons, these survivors master the art of the ambush and the night mission. They represent the player's early-game struggle—balancing thin resources and stretching every bullet to defend havens that are constantly under attack.
For a hoodlum from the Danforth sector, life is a constant "slog" to secure materials and food. Unlike the Phoenix Project, which begins with a global legacy and hidden bases, the hoodlum starts with nothing but local knowledge and a sharp blade. Their progression isn't found in a laboratory but in the ruins of cities, where every crate of supplies is a hard-fought victory against Lovecraftian horrors . phoenix-point-danforth-hoodlum
The world of Phoenix Point is one defined by the slow, suffocating encroachment of the Pandoravirus. Amidst the high-tech aspirations of Synedrion and the rigid militarism of New Jericho, there exists a forgotten class of survivors: the scavengers and street-fighters often dismissed as "hoodlums." A "Danforth Hoodlum" represents the raw, unrefined resilience of humanity, relying on grit rather than grand ideology to survive the mist. In a game known for its deep simulation
Kali + Additional Tools + Vulnerable Applications in Docker containers...
A vulnerable VM that you will use to perform a full assessment (from reconnassaince to full compromise)
Another vulnerable VM that you will use to perform a full assessment (from reconnassaince to full compromise)
This video explains how to setup the virtual machines in your system using Virtual Box.
The diagram below shows the lab architecture with WebSploit Full version, Raven, and VTCSEC. The VMs were created in Virtual Box. It is highly recommended that you use Virtual Box. However, if you are familiar with different virtualization platforms, you should be able to run the VMs in VMWare Workstation Pro (Windows), VMWare Fusion (Mac), or vSphere Hypervisor (free ESXi server).
You should create a VM-only network to deploy your vulnerable VMs and perform several of the attacks using WebSploit (Kali Linux), as shown in the video above. You can configure a separate network interface in your WebSploit VM to connect to the rest of your network and subsequently the Internet. Preferably, that interface should be in NAT mode.
