(released internationally as Licence to Build ) is a 2022 French comedy film directed by Éric Fraticelli . The story follows Romain (played by Didier Bourdon ), a Parisian dentist who inherits a plot of land in Corsica following the death of his estranged father. His father’s final wish is for Romain to build a house on this land, a task that proves Comically difficult for a "continental" Parisian unfamiliar with local Corsican customs and the complexities of obtaining a building permit.
