Medical literature and case reports demonstrate that transgender women can successfully induce lactation through hormone therapy, breast stimulation, and the use of galactagogues. Studies, including the first case reported in 2018, show that produced milk can have a comparable macronutrient profile to that of cisgender mothers, although high-quality, long-term studies on outcomes remain limited.
