Fate brings him to Pierre Leroy, a famous but disillusioned Parisian singer currently on tour and staying at the seaside hotel where Nelson’s mother works. While the two initially clash due to their opposing personalities—Pierre's lonely cynicism versus Nelson's stubborn pride—their shared passion for singing eventually bridges the gap, helping them both find a new sense of purpose.
