Have you already watched the movie, or are you ?

The film makes excellent use of its isolated, snowy mountain setting. The cinematography creates a sense of "beautiful loneliness" that fits the film's tone perfectly.

The story follows Troy (Moyer) and his adult son Jake (Van Acker), who have lived in total isolation in a fortified forest compound for two decades. Troy has raised Jake to believe that World War III decimated the population and that anyone they encounter is a lethal threat. However, when Troy is injured and Jake must venture beyond their borders to find medicine, he meets Henrietta (Silverstone)—a woman who reveals that the "outside world" isn't exactly what his father described.

It’s a compelling look at the "Sins of the Father." The movie explores how trauma can be passed down through lies and how difficult it is to break free from a worldview you've been fed since birth. The Not-So-Good

The chemistry between Stephen Moyer and Drew Van Acker is believable. Moyer effectively portrays a man gripped by both protective love and dangerous paranoia. Alicia Silverstone provides a grounded, empathetic counterpoint to their secluded lifestyle.
