follows Kate Ryan, a young widow who moves into a long-vacant house on the shores of Lake Erie to cope with the sudden death of her husband. The house was previously owned by Harrison Lloyd, an archaeologist who disappeared under mysterious circumstances decades earlier. As Kate explores the home, she discovers Harrison’s old journal and a strange necklace, which unwittingly opens a portal to a parallel dimension (or purgatory).
