Features a distinctive "hand-drawn" aesthetic with pastel colors and proportions that resemble children's illustrations. Plot Summary
The story begins at a farmhouse on a hill where (a retired sailor), his wife Juliette , and their adopted son Tom live. When a group of frogs prophesies a catastrophic 40-day flood, Ferdinand converts his barn into a makeshift ark using a massive tractor tire.
He gathers his family, their neighbor's daughter , and a variety of animals from a nearby zoo. To maintain peace on the floating barn, Ferdinand establishes a strict rule: everyone, including the carnivores (lions, tigers, etc.), must only eat potatoes. Tension rises when a manipulative tortoise joins the group and incites the carnivores to rebel against the "potato-only" regime.
