welcome aboard

Ships of Hagoth is a digital-first literary magazine featuring creative nonfiction and theoretical essays by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Where other LDS-centric publications often look inward at the LDS tradition, we seek literary works that look outward through the curious, charitable lens of faith.

Clocking in at approximately 3:29 , the song is frequently sought after by fans for its high-fidelity sound, often found on music platforms in 320 kbps quality . Its enduring popularity on streaming and download sites across the CIS region highlights Jah Khalib's ability to create "mood music" that resonates with a wide audience. The track's minimalist yet effective arrangement allows the artist's vocal delivery to remain the focal point, creating an intimate listening experience that has helped maintain its relevance years after its initial release.

The track Podoydi Poblizhe (Detka) by Jah Khalib stands as a definitive example of the smooth, melodic fusion of hip-hop and R&B that has come to define the modern Kazakh music scene. Released as part of the KHALIBanija Dushi EP through SBA Production and Warner Music Russia, the song showcases Khalib’s signature deep vocals and atmospheric production. It is a quintessential chill-out track, built on a steady, rhythmic beat that complements its romantic and somewhat sultry lyrical themes.

We are hoping—for “one must needs hope”—for creative nonfiction, theoretical essays, and craft essays that seek radical new ways to explore and express theological ideas; that are, like Hagoth, “exceedingly curious.”

We favor creative nonfiction that can trace its lineage back to Michel de Montaigne. Whether narrative, analytical, or devotional, these essays lean ruminative, conversational, meandering, impressionistic, and are reluctant to wax didactic.

As for theoretical essays: we welcome work that playfully and charitably explores the wide world of arts & letters—especially works created from differing religious, non-religious, and even irreligious perspectives—through the peculiar lens of a Latter-day Saint.

We read and publish submissions as quickly as possible, and accept simultaneous submissions.
