Hurricane Il Grido Dell Innocenza M1080p 1999 I... Review
The film follows the true story of Rubin Carter , a top-ranked middleweight boxer whose career was derailed in 1966 when he and a fan, John Artis, were wrongly convicted of a triple homicide at a bar in Paterson, New Jersey. Sentenced to three life terms, Carter spends nearly 20 years in prison maintaining his innocence.
His hope is rekindled when Lesra Martin , an underprivileged youth from Brooklyn living in Canada, reads Carter's autobiography, The Sixteenth Round . Convinced of his innocence, Lesra and his Canadian mentors—Lisa Peters, Sam Chaiton, and Terry Swinton—join Carter's legal battle, eventually uncovering the racial bias and falsified evidence that led to his exoneration in 1985.
