Following Diane's death, Theodore becomes deeply depressed and Aaron begins acting out aggressively. Mya tries to comfort her brother through more games, but the atmosphere turns dark. Aaron’s "play" becomes increasingly violent, involving toy guns and unsettling behavior.

The game is divided into five stages that represent the children’s attempts to process trauma through imaginative play.

One day, Mya and Aaron wait for their parents to come home for dinner, but they never arrive. Theodore eventually returns home alone, clutching Diane’s purse and weeping. It is revealed she died in a tragic car accident.

In the final stage, Mya retrieves her doll from the roof of their house. A distraught Aaron corners her and accidentally knocks her off the edge. Mya falls to her death.
