Google Drive does not scan files larger than for viruses. When attempting to download such a file, you will see a message stating: "Google Drive can't scan this file for viruses" .
Google displays a yellow banner at the top of the screen if it identifies a shared file as likely phishing or malware.
If Google's systems identify a threat, they may block access to the file entirely to protect you.
If you trust the source, you can click "Download anyway" .
