The file "Monde qui est mien" (the French translation of A Whole New World ) is part of Jen Calonita’s series, which reimagines classic Disney stories with a dark, "what if" pivot [1, 2].

With Jafar in power, the city is transformed into a desolate police state. Princess Jasmine is no longer a sheltered royal; she is a resistance leader, hiding in the shadows of the city she once called home. Meanwhile, Aladdin—who survived the cave—must team up with Jasmine and a ragtag group of rebels to take back the lamp [1, 2].

The story explores a much grittier Agrabah, where the Genie is forced to use his cosmic power to grant Jafar’s twisted wishes, including raising an army of the dead and casting the kingdom into eternal darkness [1, 2]. It’s a race against time to prove that even without a magic carpet or three wishes, the power of the people can topple a tyrant.

In this version of the story, Jafar manages to seize the Magic Lamp before Aladdin can escape the Cave of Wonders. Instead of the street rat becoming a prince, the sorcerer becomes the master of the Genie, plunging Agrabah into a literal living nightmare [1, 2]. The Story Reimagined
