Elias wasn't downloading a show. He was being replaced by the data. And as the bar hit 100%, the MP4 didn't close. It expanded.
The video quality was hyper-real, far beyond H.264 compression. In the video, he saw his own front door from the outside. A hand reached into the frame—a hand with too many knuckles—and placed a small, black USB drive on his welcome mat. Elias froze. He looked at his real front door. Thump.
