The film follows (Leonardo DiCaprio), a CIA operative on the ground in Jordan, who is tasked with tracking down an elusive terrorist leader named Al-Saleem . Ferris operates under the constant, often conflicting direction of his supervisor back in Virginia, Ed Hoffman (Russell Crowe), who relies heavily on high-tech satellite surveillance and a cynical, detached approach to intelligence.
