Adam remains one of the few uninfected students. While initially suspecting Principal Blackwater of being the head vampire, he discovers she is actually a retired member of the legendary Van Helsing family of vampire hunters.
Adam teams up with Principal Blackwater to infiltrate the vampire dance. Armed with holy water spray guns , they battle the student vampires. The true "Master Vampire" is revealed to be Ms. Clench , the beautiful organizer of the blood drive. Principal Blackwater defeats Ms. Clench, and the students are successfully restored to their human forms. The story begins with , Sally Wilcox , and Watch Waverly volunteering for the annual blood drive at Lizzie Borden High School. The event is intended to be followed by a themed "vampire dance," but in Spooksville, the horror quickly becomes real when Stanley "Scaredy" Katzman is bitten by a genuine vampire.
After being bitten, Scaredy bites Sally, who begins developing small fangs and subsequently bites Watch. Soon, the majority of the student body is transformed into "vampire slaves".
