The story of the 2021 film follows Bhoominathan ( Jayam Ravi ), a NASA scientist who discovers a way to make plant life survive on Mars. Before departing for a space mission, he returns to his native village in Tamil Nadu for a short vacation.

Upon arrival, he finds his village devastated by a severe drought caused by corporate exploitation that has drained the underwater reservoirs for industrial gain. Witnessing the tragic suicide of his uncle due to mounting farm debts, Bhoominathan decides to quit his prestigious career to fight for the rights of local farmers. He wages a battle against Richard Child (), a ruthless corporate tycoon, using both his scientific knowledge and tactical maneuvers to restore the land and reclaim the farmers' livelihoods.
