The existing literature on online cam models is limited, but it provides a foundation for understanding this phenomenon. Research has shown that online cam models can offer a sense of intimacy, connection, and community for both the performers and the audience (Slater, 2009; Kozinets, 2010). However, there are also concerns about the potential risks, such as exploitation, objectification, and the blurring of boundaries between the performer and the audience (Hearn, 2006; Gerber, 2017).
This study provides an exploratory examination of the online cam model industry, focusing on the "Angel_Mon_Couple" live shows. The findings offer insights into the motivations, experiences, and challenges of the performers and the audience. As the online cam model industry continues to evolve, it is essential to conduct further research to ensure that the rights, well-being, and safety of all parties involved are protected.
